August
- Had a blast at Ming & Christina's wedding. Saw my husband in a tux again as groomsman #2. =) Funny kissing games at the banquet. First time I've ever seen the bride dip the groom. Lots of fun dancing. Boy, can my husband dance!
- Joined the staff at Alpha Beacon Christian School. Met great people. A good working environment so far.

September
- Celebrated the anniversary of our engagement on the roof at the SFBC Retreat...at the place where we met 6 years ago. Won the pool competition. =)
- Joined a couple's fellowship. Good times.

October
- Saw Marcus & Jenny finally get married. Laughed so hard at their banquet. I think we were the noisiest table... especially when singing along with Brian McKnight's "Back at One". Hee hee hee.
- Good to hang out with family again at Ryan & Alison's wedding. The catered food was yummy.
- Purchased our very 1st house! God gave us a Christian realtor and Christian sellers. So amazing to see how God worked things out so wonderfully.
- Led worship with 1AChord back at my old church

November
- Moved into our new house! Best of all... we have a MUSIC room!!! Woohoo! Can't wait to have people over.

Stay tuned for more posts coming soon...

Poor, neglected blog...
Thanks to all my friends who have taken the time to read my blog. Sorry for not updating in such a long time. After you hear what I've been up to, you'll understand why.

The update...
In no particular order, here is a list of what I have been doing since my last post:
- Got married to the most wonderful man in the world. Stay tuned for wedding pictures!
- Honeymooned on the Oregon coast. Stayed in a beautiful bed and breakfast with a fabulous view of the beach from our room.
- In a span of 10 days, visited the E.R. six times, rode the ambulance once, and stayed in the hospital 2 nights
- Moved to a new place
- Learned to make due with having no internet access or cable TV at home (So don't email me anything urgent. At most, I only check email once a week).
- Sent out numerous resumes, had a few call backs, some interviews, and 4 job offers
- Finished more than half of the wedding thank you cards
- Started playing piano at SFBC and began getting more involved with their music ministry
- Went to Vegas with my family, minus Ryan and Naomi
- Cook, wash, clean, repeat.

To do...
- Hope to make a job decision today or tomorrow. If so, will start my new job on Thursday.
- Practice piano for Ming and Christina's wedding on Saturday
- Try to clear out all my stuff so Naomi can move into my old room
- Finish all the wedding thank you cards by the end of the month
- Get a hair cut
- Try to update this blog at least once a month

Tomorrow I am getting married.
It doesn't seem real. I've dreamed and waited for this day and yet now that it's here, I can't believe it's even happening. I have all these emotions-- it's so overwhelming. On top of all the feelings about the wedding, my heart is saddened by the fact that my great-aunt passed away this week. Thinking about it makes me want to cry. I loved her. I miss her. She was such an awesome lady. I feel guilty being excited about the wedding... like I'm disrespecting her memory by thinking about my special day instead of about her. I know she would probably tell me not to feel that way. Even though she was sick, she took time to get us a wedding present and write a super card. It's she great? Because of the honeymoon, I won't be able to make any of the services. Even if I wasn't gone, you know those stupid Chinese rules about not going to a funeral after you get married. I don't care. I wish I could go. Visit my cousin's website for pictures of my wonderful great-aunt, Shan Shan Yuen a.k.a. Auntie Shan Shan a.k.a. San Yee Pau.

Other news:
- May 29th marked my last Sunday attending and serving at Bay Area Chinese Bible Church. It's a weird feeling to leave the only church I've known. That church has been my life... my entire existence has included that church. At my last service, Pastor Pat said a few words. My leadership team gave me a going away present (an iPod shuffle). I couldn't help but cry.
- I now attend San Francisco Bible Church. I am trying not to compare and be biased towards my old church, but it's proving to be quite difficult, especially with the differences in music style. That is a huge thing for me and it's become a huge obstacle in my ability and willingness to fully embrace SFBC as my own. I miss leading worship and hearing good music. I don't know what to do.
- On the job front... as of July 1st I will be officially unemployed. I resigned from working at CCS. Honestly, I am extremely happy about that. What a relief to done! I have no regrets about leaving that place. Am looking for another job. Have some prospects, but nothing solid yet.

To sum up, my life is changing. A new husband, new city, new house, new church, new job, new name (Hillary Wong!). WOW! All this from someone who usually stays away from change... me... the person who orders that same thing at a restaurant, the person who's kept her hairstyle the same for years, who's developed a routine for doing things and is quite comfortable and content in staying that way. Ahh...

So why I am doing all this? Because I fell in love with a man named Stephen Wong and we are getting married on Saturday!!!!!! WOOHOO! =)
