hee hee hee.
did i tell you that my cool brother set up DSL for the whole family (4 desktop computers and 1 laptop) all by himself?
my brother rocks!
this has been the most stressful 2 weeks. have been so busy, i've felt like i couldn't breathe. am feeling like a lot of demands are being placed on me by people and things. i long to rest. had a persistent headache for 7 days straight. then to top it off, i had to go to the emergency room today. not fun.
here's a summary of my last 2 weeks:
another meeting w/ 1AC and pastor steve, camp rec prep/planning, camp, damon & lisa's wedding, staff meetings 8:00am-5:00pm, finish packing (finally), powerschool and powergrade, wake and funeral for tina's grandma, dinner w/ sam & karen, christine's bridal shower, xP stuff, staying up until 5:30am working on the slideshow, ccs and all their demands, orientation prep, getting a spider bite and having to go to the emergency room, work, work, work, work, work, and my family is gone (except for ryan).
the highlights: being able to spend some time with tina, seeing karen again and hearing about sam and karen's good news. i wish their visits could be longer.
once again, i've been examining all the things that i'm involved in. today i've come to a decision. am not sure i'm ready to deal with the consequences of my decision, but it's something that needs to be done.
summer is almost over. it's been such an awful summer. i'm dreading school though. it's all because of God that i've survived thus far.
here's my verse of the day:
"We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed."
--2 Corinthians 4:8-9, NKJV
i know there are others who are suffering and going through rough waters. i pray that God will grant the strength to keep enduring and that soon, there'll be better days ahead... for all of us.
