christmas vacation is half over. =( was a mighty busy 1st week... last minute christmas shopping, hanging out with friends, christmas parties, family get-togethers, wedding preparations and THE WEDDING! michelle and chris got married! i had a great time. i enjoyed being a bridesmaid. was loads of fun. laughed so much! was very cold, but we were blessed with sunny weather. also was very thirsty, but had to refrain from drinking lest i get the bathroom urge during the ceremony. michelle was beautiful. the flowers were beautiful. the organist was cool. the photographer was... uh... different. hee hee hee. i hope they edit the video. hee hee hee. the banquet was fun also. laughed so much more! had such good company. YP? hee hee hee. =) the games, the various topics of conversation, winnie's outbursts, the waitress' lingering b.o... man, behind us was this extremely inconsiderate party and their loud band. ken's toast (and everything else that was said up there) was barely audible above the din of that other wedding banquet. peony booked 4 wedding banquets that night and messed up the number of tables allotted to us. not a good thing. still, it all worked out and we had fun. can't believe it's over! what a great time!
i'm thankful for the opportunities that i had this past week to renew old friendships and maintain distant ones. with these friends, you can just pick up where you left off even after not seeing each other or not talking for long periods of time. i am truly blessed. karen and sam's baby is due in 3 weeks. maybe she'll be born a week later so we can share the same birthday. =)
went to the cmbc christmas dinner at pasta pelican a couple of weeks ago. wish you could have heard pastor sen's message. it was short, yet struck a chord with me. he had 3 main points: 1) God with us- Jesus being born on the earth, 2) God in us- salvation, 3) God for us- victorious living. all 3 hold significant meaning in a Christian's life. was very interesting.
hope to go to tahoe sometime this week, before i have to return to work. was hoping to go tomorrow to meet up with erica and her family, but the plans fell through. i miss the snow. saw mona lisa smile today. had a scene where julia roberts is standing on the top of a snow-covered hill. made me think of snowboarding... almost could picture myself on that hill coming down that fresh powder. can't wait to get back on that board!
