i'm a bad teacher...
during class on thursday, one of my students tied the shoelaces of the boy sitting next to her to his desk. the boy had no idea that she did that. so the bad thing was... i laughed. couldn't help it. hee hee hee. =P

the david crowder concert was fabulous. loved hearing him lead worship. man... was great. saw tons of people there that i knew. afterwards, got to crowd around taking pictures with the guys from the band. way cool.

went to the fillmore again tonight, this time to see michael buble. he has a fantastic voice, but i must say that i was most impressed by the pianist, alan chang. WOW. had a good view of him and his fingers from where i was standing. WOW.

OH! Welcome to the world, Malachi Warneke! Congrats to Josie and Brett. Wanna hear the funny thing? Josie's baby shower is tomorrow. The baby came 3 weeks early. Saw pictures already. He's cute! Can't wait to see Josie and Kai tomorrow.

Here are some random things I've heard or read these past few weeks that have struck a chord with me:
- "Be less pretty, more loud"- David Crowder
- "The death of the will is by far more traumatic than the death of the body"- Ted Dekker (When Heaven Weeps)
- "Look beyond your own eyes"- Ted Dekker (Thunder of Heaven)
- "God has a plan for you, otherwise you'd be dead"- Tony Evans

yesterday, i went to sugar bowl with the sfbc gang. lots of fun, lots of laughing. best of all, got a lot of runs in. one of the runs we went on was called "chicks challenge". too bad we didn't have a camera. would've liked to have taken a picture with that sign. hee hee hee. =) snow was a bit slushy. good thing i just had my board waxed. boy, was it hot up there! 68 degrees!

current snowboarding tally:
sierra- 3 days
northstar- 1 day
sugar bowl- 3 days
season pass usage- only 4 times =(

will be able to get one more northstar day in during my reno trip next week. after that... will need at least one more day to make use of that season pass. was really hoping to go boarding more often. *argh* i'm disappointed.

surprisingly, my concert tally will be high this year.
so far: zoegirl/superchic[k]/joy williams in sacramento, newsboys/jeremy camp/rebecca st. james at davis, switchfoot at the fillmore
coming soon: david crowder in hercules, michael buble at the fillmore, jim brickman in sf
maybes: the katinas, michael w. smith, spirit west coast

so this past thursday, i went to see switchfoot at the fillmore. it was the first time i had gone to the fillmore. pretty small. i had envisioned it to be a much larger facility. was a great concert. was hoping they'd sing "my only hope" and they did. i love that song! had a good time. my ears were ringing afterwards though. it was definitely louder than what i am accustomed to.

this past thursday, my youngest sister, the "baby" of the family turned 20. WOW. i was talking to my friend thursday night. he said, "isn't today megan's birthday?" i said, "yep!" he said, "wow, she's twenty years old now." then i had to think about it for a bit... TWENTY years old??? not that i can't remember how old she is, but because it just didn't hit that she was that old. WOW. i told mere today, "hey, now we're all in the same decade!" she said, "yeah, but not for long!" *argh* i tell ya... next year i'm gonna go through some kind of mid-life crisis. 30 is old. =P
